1. Why should I choose Wood & Passion Sign Workshop?
We take great pride in every sign we create, and we're passionate about giving you the sign that's going to work best for your business. This approach is embodied in our principles: visibility, originality, quality. See some of our work to judge for yourself, or put us to the test by contacting us to discuss your project.
2. How quickly can you make my sign?
We aim for a turnaround of 30 days for our signs (after receiving the initial deposit). This includes sign creation and installation. Whether you have a clear idea of what you want, the size of the project and the time of year will also affect how long your sign takes to be delivered (our busiest period is from March to August). Vinyl lettering, window decals and some 3D lettering can be delivered within 7 to 15 days. We'll let you know the likely delivery time at the time of quotation / ordering.
3. Can you incorporate my logo on to my sign?
Yes we certainly can. This forms part of our design process. We can also amend or modify your logo as required to fit the signage.
If you don't have a logo, no problem, we�ll help create one for you.
4. Will you help me with local regulations?
Whilst we have extensive sign regulation experience in Montreal and the surrounding region, these regulations vary not only from municipality to municipality but from street to street. It is impossible for us to maintain an up-to-date picture of all requirements. Therefore we will point you in the right direction regarding regulations, but the final responsibility regarding compliance remains with you, the client. However that said, a well presented proposition will be accepted when size, colours and materials are of good taste. In 7 years, we have not yet encountered a refused project.
5. What's the process for getting a sign?
It varies from client to client, however in general, it tends to work like this:
- Contact us (complete form/call us)
- We'll discuss your requirements
- We'll provide a quote (fee for photo-mockup)
- Review design
- Agree quote and start work
- Create and install sign
6. What materials do you use to make your signs?
We use wood, wood fibre, pvc, signfoam and vinyl, along with other signage related materials. Our emphasis is on high quality materials and high quality finish.
7. What warranty do you provide?
We take great pride in our signs, and have confidence in our workmanship. However for your peace of mind, to comply with industry regulations we offer a 90 day warranty on any manufacturing defects. Please rest assured that we will never leave a customer in difficulty. We will always work with you to find a solution that will make you and your customers happy. Please note however that circumstances beyond our control or reasonable expectation (such as high winds, vandalism, customer provided structures, etc), are not covered under warranty.
8. Why are you called Wood and Passion?
Our passion for sign making started in 2000, after creating our own home address sign and undertaking small wooden sign projects. We love what we do, and wanted to let the world know, through our high quality signs and also through our company name! We added our slogan "An inspired design, a remarkable sign" in 2003, following the unprompted comments of a passerby during one of our sign installations.
